The pandemic has prevented me from doing outdoor activities in Sydney for months. However, recently the restrictions have been relaxed, so I can go outside again, and I'm very happy to be able to paint the scenery. I want to explore nature as often as possible and draw. Working indoors all day is hard work.
판데믹으로 인해 시드니에서 몇 달간 야외 활동을 마음대로 할 수 없었어요.
그러나 최근 규제가 완화되어 다시 야외로 나갈 수 있고, 풍경을 그릴 수 있어 매우 기쁩니다. 가급적 자주 자연을 탐험하고 그리고 싶습니다. 하루 종일 실내에서 작업하는 것은 힘든 일이거든요.
Die Pandemie hat mich seit Monaten daran gehindert, Outdoor-Aktivitäten in Sydney zu unternehmen. In letzter Zeit wurden die Beschränkungen jedoch gelockert, sodass ich wieder nach draußen gehen kann, und ich freue mich sehr, die Szenerie malen zu können. Ich möchte so oft wie möglich die Natur erkunden und zeichnen. Den ganzen Tag drinnen zu arbeiten ist harte Arbeit.
My paintings need to capture the energy felt from the landscape itself. I call my painting style contemporary impressionistic. I get more energy from outdoor places than indoors. And that energy inspires a lot of work such as still lifes and portraits indoors.
제 그림에는 풍경 그 자체에서 느껴지는 에너지를 담아내야 합니다. 저는 그런 제 그림을 현대 인상주의 풍이라고 부릅니다. 저는 실내보다 야외 장소에서 더 많은 에너지를 얻어요. 그리고 그 에너지는 실내에서 하는 정물, 초상화 등의 작업에도 많은 영감을 줍니다.
Meine Bilder müssen die Energie der Landschaft selbst einfangen. Ich nenne meinen Malstil zeitgenössisch impressionistisch. Ich bekomme mehr Energie von draußen als drinnen. Und diese Energie inspiriert viele Arbeiten wie Stillleben und Porträts in Innenräumen.

People say that when they see my paintings, they feel joy and often feel calm. I create skyscapes, still lifes, portraits, and street scenes. Also, I feel that I am connected to all the landscapes I encounter, and I try to express the energy of the landscape and the connection with me in my paintings.
사람들은 내 그림을 볼 때 기쁨을 느끼고 종종 평온함을 느낀다고 말합니다. 저는 하늘이 담긴 풍경, 정물, 초상화, 거리 장면을 제작합니다. 또한 저는 제가 마주하는 모든 풍경과 내가 이어짐을 느끼고, 풍경의 에너지와 나와의 연계를 그림에 표현하려고 합니다.
Die Leute sagen, wenn sie meine Bilder sehen, fühlen sie sich glücklich und fühlen sich oft ruhig. Ich erstelle Himmelslandschaften, Stillleben, Porträts und Straßenszenen. I have studied painting and video in the past, but my greatest mentors in training are solitude and exploration. There were many days when I was working alone, and during that time, I did a lot of research and experimentation on painting. But sometimes it's hard being alone. All decisions have to be made creatively by myself, and I have to make optimal decisions alone when making business decisions. Still, if I can do a collaboration someday, I'd like to try sculpting with a carpenter. Because I have the momentum, we will be able to make great projects together.
과거 그림과 영상에 대해 공부를 했지만, 제 훈련의 가장 큰 스승은 고독과 탐구입니다. 저 혼자 작업하는 날들이 많았고, 그 동안 그림에 대해 많은 탐구를 하며 시도를 하였습니다. 하지만 때로는 혼자인 것이 힘들기도 합니다. 모든 결정들을 나 혼자서 창의적으로 해야 하고, 비즈니스를 결정할 때도 혼자 최적의 결정을 해야 합니다. 그래도 언젠가 콜라보를 할 수 있다면, 목수와 함께 조각작업을 해보고 싶네요. 저는 추진력이 있기 때문에 함께 멋진 프로젝트를 만들어 갈 수 있을 것입니다.
Ich habe in der Vergangenheit Malerei und Video studiert, aber meine größten Mentoren in der Ausbildung sind Einsamkeit und Erkundung. Es gab viele Tage, an denen ich alleine arbeitete, und während dieser Zeit habe ich viel in der Malerei recherchiert und experimentiert. Aber manchmal ist es schwer, allein zu sein. Alle Entscheidungen müssen kreativ von mir selbst getroffen werden, und ich muss optimale Entscheidungen allein treffen, wenn ich geschäftliche Entscheidungen treffe. Dennoch, wenn ich eines Tages eine Zusammenarbeit machen kann, würde ich gerne versuchen, mit einem Tischler zu formen. Weil ich die motivation habe, werden wir gemeinsam tolle Projekte realisieren können.

Of course, many great painters in the world also inspire me, but my main source of inspiration is my children. It's very creative and exciting to see how they approach results when they produce something. As such, there is no end to learning as an artist, and I am constantly working hard today for a better 'me' than yesterday. If I were to evaluate myself, I don't think I can give it a high score yet. If I have to leave one work before I die, I want to leave a portrait of my children.
물론 세상의 수많은 화가들 역시 멋진 영감을 주지만, 제 영감의 주된 원천은 아이들입니다. 그들이 뭔가를 생산할 때 결과에 접근하는 방법을 보면 매우 창의적이고 흥미진진합니다. 이렇듯 예술가로서의 배움에는 끝이 없고, 어제보다 더 나은 '나'를 위해 끊임없이 노력하고 있습니다. 제 스스로를 평가하자면 아직 높은 점수는 줄 수 없을 것 같네요. 만일 죽기전 한 가지 작품을 남겨야 한다면, 제 아이들의 초상화를 남기고 싶습니다.
Natürlich inspirieren mich auch viele große Maler der Welt, aber meine Hauptinspirationsquelle sind meine Kinder. Es ist sehr kreativ und spannend zu sehen, wie sie an Ergebnisse herangehen, wenn sie etwas produzieren. Als solches hat das Lernen als Künstler kein Ende und ich arbeite heute ständig hart für ein besseres „Ich“ als gestern. Wenn ich mich selbst bewerten würde, glaube ich, dass ich noch keine hohe Punktzahl geben kann. Wenn ich ein Werk hinterlassen muss, bevor ich sterbe, möchte ich ein Porträt meiner Kinder hinterlassen.
